With Prayer Shawl Ministries, care and
the love of knitting (and crochet) combine in a prayerful activity that
reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace. Many blessings are
knitted into every shawl. The knitter begins a shawl with prayers for
the recipient. Intentions are continued throughout its creation, and
when the shawl is completed, it is blessed before being sent.
As the gift was sent, so some recipients have continue the kindness by
making a shawl themselves and passing it onto someone in need. Thus,
the blessing ripples from person to person, with both the giver and receiver
knowing the unconditional embrace of a sheltering, caring God!
Contact Sydell Voeller to participate.

Everyone at St. Bede's is involved, to one degree or another, in Pastoral
Care as part of shared life in Christ. We are always open to new ideas to
make that care more effective and Christ-like.
