The ministers of the Gospel--the good news of the
Kingdom of God--are the people of his Church.
Many people in this church serve
as they answer our Lord's call to follow him and serve him in one another
and the world. Here is a short list of ministries at St.
Bede's.
  
The vicar of St. Bede's is the Rev. Julie Smith,
appointed by Bishop Itty in Jan. 2008.
The BAC (Bishop's Advisory Committee)
plans the ministries of the church and assists our vicar who serves the bishop
in directing the
programs of St. Bede's.
The Parish Profile 2007 was
written after the departure of our last vicar. It is based in large part on responses to
the Parish Survey questions
collected in Nov. 2007.
Our vicar serves at the Bishop's request. The Right Reverend Johncy Itty,
bishop of
the Diocese of Oregon, is the chief pastor of the Diocese and its mission
(our congregation) in Forest Grove.
